The owner or owners of any building, structure or premises, or any part thereof, where anything in violation of this Building Code shall be placed or shall exist, and any architect, builder, contractor or other person who shall assist in the commission of any such violation, and all persons and corporations who or which shall violate any of the provisions or requirements of this Building Code, or fail to comply therewith, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted and approved thereunder, shall, for each violation or noncompliance, for which a penalty is not otherwise provided, be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), and each day during which any such person continues to violate any provision of this Building Code or fails to comply therewith or any of the requirements thereof, after having been notified of such violation or failure to comply, shall constitute a separate offense.
