An officer or employee of the Village who is entitled to a leave of absence with pay for military service under Ohio R.C. 5923.05, or any similar law, shall continue to receive compensation from the Village in the amount of the difference between his or her regular Village compensation and the military pay for the period of such service, not to exceed thirty-one days in any calendar year.
