135.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF POSITION; DUTIES; APPOINTMENT.

(a) The position of Secretary is hereby established as a full-time position in and for the Village. The Secretary shall report to the Chief of Police and shall perform such duties as shall be assigned to him or her from time to time by the Chief of Police, the Mayor and Council.

(b) The Secretary shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by Council, and shall receive, for services rendered, such compensation as Council shall from time to time establish.
