§ 102.21 SPECIES; SPACING.
   (A)   The City's Park Department Superintendent shall develop, periodically update, and maintain a listing of species of street trees and park trees for planting in or to overhang the right-of-way or other public areas along city street in the following three size classifications based on mature tree height: small (under 20 feet), medium (20 to 40 feet), and large (over 40 feet). A copy of that current listing shall be available for public inspection in the City's Park Department and Clerk-Treasurer's office during normal business hours.
   (B)   Except as specifically authorized in writing by the Park Department, the spacing of street trees will be in accordance with sizes listed in division (A) of this section and no trees may be planted:
      (1)   Closer together (on center) than the following: small trees, 30 feet; medium trees, 40 feet; and large trees, 50 feet.
      (2)   Closer (measured from the center of the tree) to any curb, curb line, or sidewalk than the following: small trees, two feet; medium trees, three feet; and large trees, four feet.
      (3)   Within 35 feet of any street corner, measured from the point of the nearest intersecting curbs or curb lines to the center of the tree.
      (4)   Within ten feet of any fireplug, measured from the center of the tree.
