§ 91.07 TRAPPING ANIMALS RESTRICTED.
   (A)   It is the purpose of this section to prevent the potential harm that may be inflicted upon persons and to prevent the maiming, unselective catching, and destruction of wild animals or birds and domestic animals which come in contact with traps. Persons who believe that this section is being violated shall file their grievance with the Police Department for review.
   (B)   No person shall trap for animals or fowl within the city limits unless those traps are cage type live traps approved by a Humane Officer or animal care facility used for the control of nuisance animals. This prohibition shall not apply to any trap specifically designed to kill rats, mice, gophers, or moles so long as the owner of the property is aware of where the traps are set.
