§ 51.085 ABANDONMENT OF PRIVATE SYSTEMS AND PRIVIES WHEN PUBLIC SEWER BECOMES AVAILABLE.
   Wherever a public sewer becomes available to a house, building, or property used for human occupancy, employment, recreation, or other purposes, served by a private sewage disposal system or privy as provided for in § 51.013 situated within the city, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer and any septic tank seepage pits, privy pits and similar sewage disposal and treatment facilities shall be abandoned and filled in a safe and sanitary manner.
