§ 51.020 SEWER CONNECTIONS; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connections with or opening into, use, alter, or disturb any public sewer or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a written permit from the Department.
   (B)   No person shall make any connection with the public sewer or drains, or with any extension or connection previously made, without first obtaining a written permit from the Department. The permit must be obtained not later than the day previous to the opening of the trench. Application must be accompanied by a clear description of the premises, the name of the owner, the name of the person employed to do the work, the permit fee in the amount determined by the Board, and a description of sewer tap location.
   (C)   No owner or occupant of any real property shall tap or drain either directly or indirectly into any public sewer until a sewer tap permit has been obtained and until he has satisfied his obligation to pay all assessments, reimbursements, or pro rata shares of sewer extension costs laid against that property for public sewers installed to serve it. A tap permit given in error or sewer works charges billed to a property in error shall not operate to nullify any obligation that has been duly recorded.
   (D)   The permit fees for Residential, Commercial and Industrials Users, within and out of the city, are quoted in Appendix A.
