§ 97.04 DISTANCE FROM CURBS AND SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   The distance trees may be planted from curbs or curblines and sidewalks will be in accordance with the tree species size classes listed in §§ 97.01 and 97.02, and no trees may be planted closer to any curb or sidewalk than the following: small trees, two feet; medium trees, three feet; and large trees, four feet. Planting of trees between the street and sidewalk on Nemaha Street, within the city, shall be forbidden except by the express written permission of the State Department of Roads.
   (B)   Street trees will be centered between the curb and sidewalk or aligned with existing street trees, except in special situations approved by the City Tree Board. In areas with no curbs or sidewalks or less than four feet between the curb and sidewalk, no street trees shall be planted without written permission from the City Tree Board.
