The driver of a taxicab shall deliver to the person paying for the hire of such vehicle, if demanded by such person at the time of payment of the fare, a receipt therefor, which receipt shall show the point where such person was accepted as a passenger and where discharged, the number of the taxicab and the name of the owner thereof.
