No person shall place more than one sign advertising a public sale or garage sale, and such sign shall be on the premises where the sale is conducted. The sign shall not exceed four square feet in area. Any such sign shall be erected only for the duration of the sale. Signs shall not be located within the street right of way or on any public property, including, but not limited to, any utility pole, sign, post, tree, light-post or the like.
