(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 715.26(F) and 3929.86(C) and (D), the City hereby authorizes the Finance Director and the Fire Department to make claims against insurance policies and to receive insurance proceeds for removing, repairing or securing fire damaged buildings or other structures.
(b) The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to carry out the duties set forth by statute with respect to the deposit and disbursement of funds, provided that no funds held under this section shall be released without notification of such intent to the Fire Chief.
(c) A separate fund or account is hereby established for the purpose of receiving proceeds of such fire policies from an underwriting insurance company or companies.
