Any person failing to comply with this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. A separate offense shall be deemed committed for each day that a violation of this chapter is permitted to exist. Police officers or other authorized representative of the city shall have the authority to issue citations to violators of this section. Issuance of notice of violation and order to abate shall not be a mandatory prerequisite to issuance of a citation under this section. (Ord. 118, 3-14-1984; amd. 2008 Code; Ord. 246, 11-21-2013)
