10-6-4: AMENDMENTS:
The city council, prior to adopting an amendment, supplement, or repeal of this title, shall conduct at least one public hearing in which interested persons shall have an opportunity to be heard. At least fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing, notice of the time and place and a summary of the proposed plan to be discussed shall be published in the official newspaper or paper of general circulation within the jurisdiction. The city council shall also make available a notice to other papers, radio and television stations serving the jurisdiction for use as a public service announcement. Notice of intent to amend, supplement or repeal the ordinance shall be sent to all political subdivisions providing services within the planning jurisdiction, including school districts, at least fifteen (15) days prior to the public hearing scheduled by the council. Following the city council hearing, if the city council makes a material change in this title other than that published for the present hearing, further notice and hearing shall be provided before the city council takes action.
