§ 91.11 CUT FLOWERS, POTTED PLANTS AND ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS.
   (A)   No large urns or potted plants are permitted to block the path of mowing equipment. If this occurs, the container shall be removed from the gravesite.
   (B)   Potted plants shall be removed when the blossoms are dead. Owners wishing to retain the pot must remove it or risk it being discarded. Cemetery personnel are not responsible for broken or missing potted plants.
   (C)   Cut flowers are permitted on each grave until they become wilted and/or unsightly. When the flowers become wilted and/or unsightly, the flowers and container shall be discarded. Persons wishing to retain the container should remove the container from the gravesite promptly within five days. Containers for cut flowers shall be positioned in conjunction with the monument or the head of the gravesite and out of the path of mowing equipment. Any glass containers used (such as vases) must be positioned on the headstone or otherwise elevated so not to be in the path of mowing equipment.
   (D)   Except for nationally recognized holidays, artificial flowers are prohibited from being placed on the turf areas from April 1 through October 31 unless placed in a sturdy non-glass container and out of the path of mowing equipment. A limit of two containers of artificial flowers is permitted per grave. The containers shall be placed in conjunction with the head of the gravesite. The city shall not be held responsible for any broken or damaged floral containers or floral arrangements. This also applies to flags placed for the appropriate holidays. Owners wishing to retain artificial flowers should remove them from the gravesite within ten days following the occasion. Flowers left on gravesites after ten days following those occasions will be removed and disposed of by cemetery personnel.
   (E)   All winter flowers, wreaths or holiday adornments shall be removed by March 20.
   (F)   All funeral floral pieces and containers shall be removed and disposed of when the flowers become wilted not to exceed five days. Any person(s) wishing to retain any or all floral pieces or containers must do so within five days.
   (G)   All shepherd's staff floral arrangements must be placed out of the path of the mowing equipment.
   (H)   All saddle floral arrangements shall be left undisturbed except when the artificial flowers have deteriorated and become unsightly. Only then will the artificial flowers be removed, leaving the saddle portion in place for future use.
