§ 99.11 USING SIDEWALK AS TEMPORARY DRIVEWAY; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (A)   No person shall use any part of a sidewalk for temporary driveway purposes without first securing a permit from the city or its designee. There shall be no charge for the permit.
   (B)   Before granting a temporary driveway permit, the city or its designee shall require the applicant to deposit with the city a sufficient sum of money to cover the cost of repairing any damage caused to the sidewalk by reason of its temporary use for driveway purposes.
   (C)   If after the expiration of the term for which the temporary permit is issued and upon inspection by the Hopkinsville Street Department Superintendent no damage has been done to the sidewalk, the deposit shall be refunded to the applicant.
   (D)   If damage has been done to the sidewalk by reason of its temporary use as a driveway, the sidewalk shall be repaired by the Hopkinsville Public Works Department and the cost thereof deducted from the deposit hereinbefore required to be made. Any balance remaining after the cost of repairing damage shall be refunded to the applicant making the deposit.
