A. Amendment, Conditional Use, or Variation. Any application for an amendment, conditional use, or variation, filed by or on behalf of the owners or owner of the property affected, shall be accompanied by a fee of fifty dollars. Said fee may be changed by the mayor and city council from time to time hereafter.
B. Building Permit and Occupancy Permits. Building permit fees shall be as follows:
1. Any additions or constructions to existing commercial buildings shall pay a fee for the building permit in an amount equal to 0.5% of the estimated construction cost.
2. Any additions or renovations to existing residential buildings shall pay a fee for the building permit of $50.00 when the estimated cost of construction is $20,000.00 or less. If the estimated cost exceeds $20,000.00, the fee will increase to 0.25% of the total cost.
C. Signs. Application for a sign permit: Two dollars per thousand dollars or fraction thereof of installed cost, with a minimum of ten dollars.
D. Planned Unit Development (PUD).
1. One hundred dollars for an area of one acre or less; and
2. Fifty dollars for each additional acre or fraction thereof.
All fees shall be paid at the time of application by check payable to the city of Hoopeston.
