Where, in this chapter of this Code, no provision is made for a penalty for the violation of a provision of this chapter, each person, firm, or corporation so violating any provision of this chapter for which no penalty has been specifically provided shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor and be fined not less than $15.00 nor more than $500.00 for each violation thereof, or, where not otherwise provided by the laws of this state, in accordance with 1-2-1.1 of the Illinois Municipal Code, be incarcerated in a penal institution other than the penitentiary for a period of not to exceed six months or both.
