A lot area of not less than seven thousand square feet, and a lot width of not less than seventy feet at the building line shall be provided for every building or other structure erected or used for any use permitted in this district; except that as to lots of public record on October 14, 1980, the minimum lot area shall be not less than seven thousand square feet, and a lot width of not less than fifty feet at the building line shall be provided for every building or other structure erected or used for any permitted purpose in this district.
