A. Subject to the provisions contained herein, such antenna shall be located only in the rear yard of any lot. If a usable satellite signal cannot be obtained from the rear yard, the antenna may be located on the side or front yard of the property, subject to the requirements contained in this chapter.
B. Prior to erecting such antenna in the side or front yard, a building permit must be obtained. Such permit may only be issued upon a showing by the applicant that a usable satellite signal is not obtainable from the rear yard, and provided further that the construction and erection otherwise is in compliance with the city building code and electrical code. Further, such a permit will be for a specific location on the property, if issued, and will designate that location which eliminates or minimizes public view.
