13.04.090 Water shut off for nonpayment of rents- reconnection fee.
   A.   If water and sewer rents are not paid within seven business days after the same become due and payable, the water shall be shut off with no additional notice given. Water services may be reinstated for delinquent customers when full payment, past due and current billing, including penalties, have been made along with a fifty dollar service charge per meter. Services shall be reinstated during normal business hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
   B.   If services are shut off for nonpayment, no unauthorized person shall maliciously, willfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure or equipment which is a part of the municipal water or sewage works. Any person violating this provision shall be subject to immediate arrest under charge of disorderly conduct, plus a three hundred dollar service fee for replacement of equipment and theft of services. Also, at the discretion of City of Hoopeston officials, refusal of reinstating service for habitual offenders.
