2.62.050 Complaints-Investigation procedures.
An investigation, as may be appropriate, shall follow a filing of a complaint. The investigation will be conducted by a special committee appointed by the mayor, consisting of three city council members, none of whom serve on the department committee which employs the complainant. These rules contemplate informal but thorough investigations, affording all interested persons and their representatives, if any, an opportunity to submit evidence relevant to a complaint. Under 31 C.F.R. 51.55(d)(C), the city need not process complaints from applicants for employment or from applicants for admission to postsecondary education institutions.
