(A) Collection from assessment roll. Whenever any special assessment roll shall be confirmed, the Council, instead of requiring the assessments therein to be reported to the Village Assessor as provided in § 35.42, may direct the assessments to be collected directly from the special assessment roll, together with any interest that may become due thereon; and thereupon, the Village Clerk shall attach his or her warrant to the special assessment roll, commanding the Village Treasurer to collect the amount assessed against each lot, premises, or parcels of land described in the roll, together with any interest which may become due thereon, at the time and in the manner as prescribed by the law and by resolution of the Village Council. The warrant shall require the Village Treasurer, on April 1 following the date that the assessments or any installments thereof have become due, to submit to the Village Council a sworn statement setting forth the description of the lots, premises, and parcels of land, and the amount of accrued interest computed to April 1 of the year.
(Prior Code, § 442.18)
(B) Collection by Treasurer. Upon receiving the special assessment roll and warrant, the Village Treasurer shall proceed to collect the amount assessed therein.
