A. Unless a separate fine or penalty is otherwise provided in this title, any person who violates, neglects or refuses to comply with, or who resists or opposes the enforcement of any of the provisions of this title, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense; and every such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day on which such violation, neglect or refusal shall continue. Any owner who shall apportion or divide any land without complying with or in violation of any of the provisions of this title; any surveyor, engineer, or person drawing plans or subdividing any lands in violation of the provisions of this title; any builder or contractor who shall construct any building in violation of any of the provisions of this title; and any architect designing, drawing plans for or having charge of any such building or who shall permit it to be constructed in violation of the provisions of this title, shall be liable to the penalties provided and imposed by this section. B. In addition to the penalty provided in subsection A of this section, the village may file suit and proceed to demolish, repair, enclose, recover cost or sue to cause compliance. (1985 Code § 10-1-11)
