7-6-1: YIELD RIGHT OF WAY INTERSECTIONS:
   A.   Signs Posted: Pursuant to state law, the public works director is hereby ordered to erect yield signs upon direction of the village board of trustees. Every sign shall be erected according to standards set forth in the Illinois sign manual adopted by the state department of transportation. (1985 Code § 6-6-1; amd. 2016 Code)

At marked crosswalks not at an intersection, the driver shall stop at the near side of the crosswalk and yield the right of way to all pedestrians thereon before proceeding across it.
