7-5-4: SNOW ROUTES:
   A.   Parking Prohibited After Snowfall: It shall be unlawful to stand, stop or park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle in any area or zone designated a "snow route" after two inches (2") of snowfall or more until said snow is completely removed. A vehicle parked in violation of this subsection is hereby declared a nuisance and may be summarily abated, without notice, by towing upon order of the police or the department of public works.
   B.   Applicability Of Provisions:
      1.   All streets or parts of streets marked "No Parking At Any Time" or words of similar import are hereby designated as streets or parts of streets subject to the provisions of subsection A of this section.
      2.   Any vehicle that is parked in violation of any parking ordinance or law and is interfering with or about to interfere with snow removal operations is made subject to the provisions of subsection A of this section.
   C.   Signs Posted: Street areas or zones designated as "snow routes" shall be posted with signs stating that it is a "Snow Route - No Parking After Two Inches (2") Of Snowfall Or More Until Removal Is Complete - And Vehicle Will Be Towed".
   D.   Snow Routes Designated: The following streets are hereby designated as snow routes throughout their entire length in the village:
East Avenue.
Joliet Road.
LaGrange Road.
67th Street.
   E.   Parking after two inches (2") of snow:
      1.   The following procedures shall be followed from November 1 through April when snowfall of two inches (2") or more shall occur:
         a.   On odd numbered days there shall be parking only sides of streets with odd numbers. For example, if more than two inches (2") of snowfall occurs on January 1, all vehicles must be parked on sides of streets with odd numbers or in the owner's driveway.
         b.   On even numbered days there shall be parking only on sides of streets with even numbers. For example, if more than two inches (2") of snowfall occurs on January 2, all vehicles must be parked on sides of streets with even numbers or in the owner's driveway.
      2.   Residents parking on Cobb Street and Lyons Street: On even numbered days there shall be parking only on the south side of the street. On odd numbered days there shall be parking only on the north side of the street. (1985 Code § 6-5-4; amd. Ord. 22-01, 2-14-2022)
