A. Any person desiring a license for any vehicle shall file an application therefor with the village clerk upon a form provided thereby, setting forth the name and address of the applicant, the description of the vehicle and such information as may be prescribed. Upon demand by the village clerk, the applicant shall display the state identification card for each vehicle at the time of application. Such license shall issue upon the payment by the applicant of a license fee as determined by the village board of trustees to the village clerk, and shall authorize the use of such vehicle within the village under the expiration of such license. B. All licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be for a year and shall begin June 1 and expire May 31 following their issuance. (1985 Code § 6-2-4; amd. Ord. 05-17, 6-13-2005; 2016 Code)
