The Chief of Police shall dispose of abandoned vehicles or parts thereof by removal to a scrapyard or demolished as scrap or salvage, but subject to the provision of § 93.028, the Chief of Police may enter upon private property for the purposes specified in this chapter relative to removal of abandoned vehicles to examine vehicles or parts thereof, obtain information as to the identity of vehicles, and to remove or cause the removal of a vehicle or parts thereof declared to be a nuisance, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
