Each full time member of the fire department shall reside within the greater Chicago metropolitan area, that is, within one of the following counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, or Will. Any failure to comply with this residency requirement shall be deemed cause for discharge from the service of the village, and any full time member who shall fail to comply may be discharged in the manner provided by law. A full time member shall have one year after completion of her or his probationary period within which to comply with this residency requirement. (Ord. O2004-30, 6-1-2004)
