There is hereby created a fire department, an executive department of the village, which shall be under the jurisdiction of the village manager. The fire department shall consist of the fire chief and such other officers, in such numbers, as may be authorized by the village president and board of trustees from time to time, including deputy fire chiefs, captains, lieutenants, firefighter/EMT-Bs, and firefighter/paramedics.
