6-1-5: CONDITIONS OF LICENSE:
   A.   Sticker Displayed: Upon payment of the fee to the village clerk, the village clerk shall issue a motor vehicle license, which must be displayed on the windshield of the motor vehicle. (Ord., 4-3-1979)
   B.   Transfer Of License: Whenever the owner of any vehicle licensed under this chapter shall, before the expiration of such license, sell or otherwise dispose of such vehicle and thereafter acquires another vehicle of the same class as that for which said license was originally issued and desires to transfer said license to the new vehicle, such owner shall make application to the village clerk for transfer of such license, giving such detailed description of the new vehicle as the village clerk shall require; and upon payment of a transfer fee of two dollars ($2.00) to the village collector, the village clerk shall issue a new license to the vehicle designated.
   C.   Loss Or Destruction: In case of the loss or destruction of any license issued by the village, a new license may be issued to the licensee by the village clerk upon satisfactory evidence of such loss or destruction being filed with the village clerk and upon the payment to the village collector of two dollars ($2.00) for such duplicate.
   D.   Dealers' Licenses: The license plates or tags issued to dealers in motor vehicles for vehicles held for sale and used on the streets of the village only for demonstrating purposes may be transferred to any other vehicle so held and used by the same dealer. No motor vehicle used for demonstrating purposes by a dealer in such vehicles shall be operated or used upon the streets, avenues or alleys of the village for demonstrating purposes or otherwise unless a dealers' license plate or tag is conspicuously displayed thereon.
