Any police officer who destroys his or her badge or any other property issued to him or her by the village shall be required to pay the cost of replacing such item. Whenever any police officer shall leave, resign, be suspended, or be discharged, he or she shall immediately deliver to the police chief the badge and all other property issued by the village. Any pay due or to become due such members shall be withheld until such property is returned. (Ord., 12-16-1991)
