§ 71.29 SPEED LIMIT FOR CERTAIN ROADWAYS.
   (A)   No operator of a motor vehicle, motorcycle, and/or moped shall at any time operate said motor vehicle, motorcycle, or moped at a speed greater than fifteen (15) miles per hour on any street within the City of Hillview which is both a dead end street and of a length of eight hundred (800) feet or less. The speed limit for all other streets maintained by the city shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour.
   (B)   Appropriate signs and markings shall be erected and posted indicating the beginning and end of such fifteen (15) miles per hour speed zones, as soon as practicable after the date of the adoption of this section. The fifteen (15) miles per hour speed limit shall be effective from the time such warning signs and markings are erected and posted.
   (C)   Dead end street.
      (1)   Definition.
         DEAD END. A street that is only connected to another street at one end (not including a street that constitutes a circle).
      (2)   No operator of a motor vehicle, motorcycle and/or moped shall at any time operate said motor vehicle, motorcycle and/or moped at a speed greater than fifteen (15) miles per hour on any roadway within the city which is a dead end street.
      (3)   Appropriate signs and markings shall be erected and posted indicating the beginning and end of such fifteen (15) miles per hour speed zones, as soon as practicable after the date of the adoption of this section, and the fifteen (15) miles per hour speed limit shall be effective from the time such warning signs and markings are erected and posted.
   (D)   Any person who violates divisions (A) and (C) of this section shall be fined in accordance with provisions of KRS 189.394.
