§ 90.09 IMPOUNDMENT FEES.
   (A)   Such impounded animals shall be redeemed by the owner within ten days by payment of an impoundment fee of $25 or impoundment fee as set forth by Animal Control. A receipt will be issued and must be presented to the Department of Animal Control when redeeming impounded animal(s).
   (B)   In addition, a shelter or boarding fee will be payable directly to the Department of Animal Control over the accumulated period during which the animal(s) was impounded. If impounded animal is not redeemed by the owner within ten days, the Department of Animal Control shall have the option of adopting out or destroying the impounded animal(s). Furthermore, the Town/County Animal Shelter shall have the right to have an impounded animal inoculated against rabies at the owner’s expense.
