7-5-12: TRUCK PARKING:
   A.   Definitions: For the purposes of this section, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection:
    OPEN AREA: Any area other than the following:
      1.   A garage; or
      2.   An accessory building which is completely enclosed and designed for the storage of vehicles.
   RESIDENTIAL AREA:
      1.   Any area within the municipal limits of the city of Highwood zoned other than B-1, B-2 or B-3; or
      2.   Any property zoned B-1, B-2 or B-3 which is vacant property, or is actually used for residential purposes, including, but not limited to, condominiums, apartments, single-family dwellings, or any multiple-family dwellings.
   TRUCK:
      1.   Every motor vehicle designed or altered and equipped for and used to push, tow, draw, or transport vehicles by means of a crane, hoist, towbar, towline, or auxiliary axle, or to render assistance to disabled vehicles, or any vehicle designed or altered and equipped as a flatbed truck for the purpose of transporting upon it one or more vehicles, disabled or otherwise; or
      2.   Any vehicle bearing or registered under a state of Illinois class C license plate, or any higher weight classification license plate or registration, or any equivalent license plate or registration from any other state.
   B.   Prohibited In Residential Areas: No person shall stand or park any "truck", as defined in subsection A of this section, on any street, driveway, or open area within the residential areas of the city, except during and in connection with the actual rendering, in the course of business, of services within the residential areas.
