4-4-7: CONTENTS AND EFFECT OF LICENSE:
   A.   Nothing in this chapter shall require that any license be issued hereunder, but the same shall be issued at the sole discretion of the mayor. The mayor may, but need not, establish special categories of licenses and promulgate rules relating to the various categories, which shall be published and made available to the public during normal business hours at city hall. Any license issued hereunder shall specify, among other information:
      1.   The aggregate retail value of all prizes or merchandise to be awarded by the licensee in a single raffle; and
      2.   The maximum retail value of each prize to be awarded by the licensee in a single raffle; and
      3.   The maximum price which may be charged for each raffle chance to be issued or sold; and
      4.   The maximum number of days during which chances may be issued or sold; and
      5.   The area or areas within the city in which raffle chances will be sold or issued; and
      6.   The time period during which raffle chances will be sold or issued; and
      7.   The time of determination of winning chances and the location or locations at which winning chances will be determined; and
      8.   The method of determining winning chance(s).
   B.   This information shall be a condition of the license, and any violation of any of these conditions shall be a violation of this chapter. Licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be valid for one raffle or a specified number of raffles to be conducted during a specified period, not to exceed one year. (Ord. 2002-O-36, 5-21-2002)
