4-3-14: INSPECTIONS:
   A.   Right Of Entry: The city, through its officers, agents and employees, shall have the right to enter at all times any establishment, place or building in which any of such devices as described herein are operated or set up for operation for the purposes of inspecting, testing and investigating such devices.
   B.   Annual And Regular Inspections:
      1.   It shall be the duty of the chief of police or such person as is designated by the chief of police to inspect any vending device, amusement device, musical device or public pool or billiard table no less than once each year. The chief shall specifically inspect for any violations of this chapter and further to confirm that each device conforms with all applicable requirements of the state of Illinois.
      2.   Further, the chief of police or any person designated by the chief of police shall conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with all requirements of this chapter.
   C.   Nonliability Of City For And Effect Of Failure To Inspect: Neither the chief of police nor the city, nor their agents or assigns, shall be liable to any person, partnership, corporation, firm or association for failure to conduct the inspections required under this chapter. Further, the failure of the chief of police, the city, or its agents or assigns to comply with the inspection requirements of this chapter shall not affect the required license fee nor the validity of the license issued hereunder.
