151.11 HOLIDAYS.
   (a)    All full time employees shall be entitled to receive compensation for the following ten (10) holidays which holidays, except as herein other provided, shall be taken on the day they occur:
New Year's Day
Martin Luther King Day
Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day After Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve Day
Christmas Day
   However, if an employee resigns or retires during the current year, he shall be paid for any unused holiday time on a pro rata basis based on the number of months he has worked prior to leaving the employment of the City. For example, if he worked six (6) months of the year, he shall be paid for six-twelfths (6/12ths) of the eighty (80) Holiday Hours.
   (b)    Any full-time employee below the position of department head, Police Lieutenant, Assistant Fire Chief and Assistant Service Director will be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times his regular hourly rate for each hour worked on a holiday.
   (c)    For those employees who are not on a rotating shift basis, whenever one of the above holidays falls on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday and when one of the above-mentioned holidays falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the succeeding Monday.
   (d)    Those full-time employees who are on a rotating shift shall receive eighty (80) hours of compensatory time at the beginning of each calendar years for the holidays as set fotih in subsection (b) hereof. Payment of any unused holidays during the year shall be made in January of the next following year up to a maximum of forty (40) hours.
   (e)    Those employees not on a rotating shift basis shall observe the Easter holiday on the Friday (Good Friday) before it.
   (f)   Any part-time dispatcher or police officer shall receive pay at one and one-half times their regular hourly rate for each hour worked on a holiday.
   (g)    Any part-time fire fighter who is scheduled to work on a holiday shall receive pay at one and one-half times their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour worked on the holiday.
   (h)    Any part time community center employees or Administration employees shall receive pay at one and one-half times their regular hourly rate for each hour worked on a holiday.
   (i)    Any part time service employees shall receive pay at one and one-half times their regular hourly rate for each hour worked on a holiday.
