1319.01 POINT OF SALE INSPECTIONS REQUIRED; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (a)   Inspection Required Prior to Sale. The owner of any single family residential dwelling or land upon which such dwelling is located, hereinafter collectively referred to as the "premises" who enters into an agreement to sell or otherwise convey an interest therein, shall obtain from the Building Department a certificate of inspection, and present such certificate or an exact copy thereof to the transferee, including, but not limited to the vendee or grantee or purchaser, of such interest prior to the time of transfer of title to the premises and within reasonably sufficient time for any escrow agent or transferee to comply with these provisions.
   (b)    In addition to the requirements of Chapter 1311, Certificate of inspections, after sale of premises described in 1319.01 (a) hereinabove, no person shall move into or commence occupation of any of the following:
      (1)   Single-family dwelling;
      (2)   Two-family dwelling;
      (3)   Duplex;
      (4)   Suite within a duplex;
      (5)    Townhouse or condo or condominium
until a certificate of inspection permit has been obtained from the CBO. An additional certificate of inspection shall not be required if a certificate has been issued within one year prior to such occupancy. (Ord. 2010-16. Passed 4-14-10.)
