A. Notice Of Violation: Unless otherwise provided, any person found to be violating any provisions of this chapter and chapters 2, 3 and 4 of this title, except section 9-1-7 of this chapter, shall be served by the village with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violations.
B. Penalties: Any person, firm or corporation who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit provided in subsection A of this section shall be fined as follows:
1. Not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense or violation of this chapter.
2. Not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense or violation of chapter 2 of this title.
3. Not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense or violation of chapter 3 or 4 of this title.
C. Lack Of Sufficient Funds: Any person making payment on a water/sewer account and the payment is denied by a banking facility for lack of sufficient funds, the account shall incur a nonsufficient funds fee penalty as provided in section 9-4-13 of this title for each such payment rendered.
D. Each Day A Separate Offense: Each day any violation continues beyond the time limit provided in subsection A of this section shall be deemed a separate offense. (2011 Code)
