7-2-6: MAINTENANCE BY OWNER; NOTICE TO REPAIR:
   A.   Owner Responsibility: After a sidewalk has been built or constructed on any street, alley or public place within the corporate limits of the City, it shall be the duty of the owner of the lot or lots adjacent thereto to keep such sidewalk or curb in good repair.
   B.   Notice to Repair: When, in the opinion of the Chief of Police, any sidewalk or curb is in poor repair, he shall serve notice on the owner or occupant fronting a portion of such sidewalk or curb needing repair, notifying such person to repair the same immediately.
   C.   Unknown Owner; Posting of Notice: If such lot or lots are unoccupied and the owner is unknown or cannot be found, then such notice shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the premises. Such posting shall have the same effect as personal service of said notice. (Ord. 303, 2-5-40)
