7-2-5: RESOLUTION OF COUNCIL REQUIRED:
   A.   Passage of Resolution Ordering Sidewalk Construction or Alteration: Whenever the City Council shall deem it necessary or expedient that a sidewalk or curb be constructed or altered on any street, alley or public place in the City, it shall pass a resolution ordering such sidewalk or curb to be constructed or altered. Such resolution shall specify the date by which the construction or alteration shall have been completed.
   B.   Copy of Resolution Served as Notice to Owner: The Recorder shall order a copy of such resolution to be served personally upon the owner of the property abutting such sidewalk or curb. If the residence of such owner be unknown, the Recorder shall publish a notice in a newspaper of general circulation within the City. Such notice shall be personally served or published at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed by the resolution for the beginning of such construction or alteration of such sidewalk or curb.
   C.   Construction Requirements: Such sidewalk or curb shall be constructed or altered according to the specifications of this Chapter and other ordinances of the City in all particulars where the City does not otherwise specify. (Ord. 303, 2-5-40; 1995 Code)
