A. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or permit to be driven upon any streets within the corporate limits of the city, any traction engine or tractor under his control, equipped with cleats or lugs on the wheels thereof or caterpillar tractors, unless the same is covered or kept clear of the surface of the streets in such manner as not to bear or touch the surface of such street. B. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of an offense and shall be assessed a class C infraction pursuant to section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 286, 2-5-1940; amd. 1995 Code)
