§ 72.071 LIMITS ESTABLISHED.
   Except when a special hazard exists that requires lower speed for compliance with § 72.070 of this subchapter, the limits specified in this subchapter or established as hereinafter authorized shall be maximum lawful speeds, and no person shall drive a vehicle on a highway at a speed in excess of such maximum limits as follows:
   (A)   Schools. Twenty mph on any street adjacent to any school between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on days when school is in session, except as otherwise required by state authority; and
   (B)   General speed limit. Twenty-five mph on other streets and on streets adjacent to schools at other times than those specified immediately above; provided that the Board of Trustees by motion or resolution may reduce or increase this speed limit, and when it does so, appropriate signs shall be placed on such streets or parts of streets indicating the lower or higher speed limit.
