§ 72.053 U-TURNS.
   (A)   Restrictions. The driver of any vehicle shall not turn the vehicle so as to proceed in the opposite direction upon any street in the town, except at an intersection; and furthermore, it is unlawful for the driver of a vehicle to make such a turn at any intersection:
      (1)   Traffic control signals. Where traffic control signals are installed;
      (2)   Officer directing traffic. Where a police officer is directing traffic except at the latter’s direction; or
      (3)   No turn sign. Where an official no U-turn sign has been placed and is maintained.
   (B)   Safe turns. When otherwise permitted, a U-turn may be made only when it can be made in safety and without interfering with other traffic.
