509.08 MINORS’ CURFEW.
   (a)   Minors Under Fourteen. No person having the control and custody of or being the parent or guardian of a minor under the age of fourteen years shall permit such minor to, nor shall such minor, be outside the confines of his homesite and congregate, wander, loiter or play upon the streets and other public places of the Municipality, unsupervised, or unenclosed lands, or places of amusement and entertainment between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
   (b)   Minors Under Sixteen. No person having the control and custody of or being the parent or guardian of a minor under the age of sixteen years shall permit such minor to, nor shall such minor, be outside the confines of his homesite and congregate, wander, loiter or play upon the streets and other public places of the Municipality, unsupervised, or unenclosed lands, or places of amusement and entertainment between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
   (c)   Minors Under Eighteen. No person having the control and custody of or being the parent or guardian of a minor under the age of eighteen years shall permit such minor to, nor shall such minor, be outside the confines of his homesite and congregate, wander, loiter or play upon the streets and other public places of the Municipality, unsupervised, or unenclosed lands, or places of amusement and entertainment between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
   (d)   Exceptions. A minor may travel, traverse or be upon or in any street, park or public place, while directly enroute to or from public or parochial school functions, service club dances, commercial dances, high school athletic games or events, religious services or functions, Boy or Girl Scout meeting and entertainments, Y.M.C.A. or Y.W.C.A. functions, any Village, state or federal recreational activity or while directly in the discharge of a bona fide and necessary errand or mission for the parent or legal guardian of such minor, during the hours stated in subsections (a), (b) and (c) hereof.
   (e)   Procedure Upon Violation By Minors. Any minor found violating this section shall be ordered home by the police or immediately turned over to the Juvenile Court of Licking County or an officer of such Court. All cases against any minor found violating this section shall be handled according to the form of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio in such cases made and provided.

   (f)   Procedure Upon Violation By Adults. Any parent, guardian or other person having the control and custody of a minor who shall contribute to a violation by said minor of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
