(a) In accordance with Ohio R.C. 737.22 there is hereby created the position of permanent, full-time fire fighter.
(b) The permanent full-time fire fighter shall have those duties, powers and functions as provided by the laws of the State and as may be provided from time to time by the Village.

(c) Any person holding the position of full-time firefighter shall have a 36-hour TINE Basic Fire School. Said person shall also be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician Ambulance and, further, shall be an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic within eighteen months of his employment with the Village in said position, and the person shall remain certified as a paramedic in order to qualify for this position.
