All sidewalks hereafter constructed or repaired shall be constructed or repaired as in this chapter provided, unless otherwise ordered by the Village Council; and unless otherwise ordered, shall be of the following width, to-wit:
On Main Street, four feet wide in residential sections and five feet wide in business sections.
In all cases where sidewalks have already been built and are of greater or less width than that required herein, the Zoning Inspector may, at his discretion, when the same are in need of repair, cause the same to be constructed or repaired as the particular improvement may require.
Additionally, all new construction or repairs will provide expansion joints per local and state building codes and accepted construction practices.
