§ 115.05 FEES AND DURATION.
An applicant for registration shall pay, at the time of application, an annual fee. At the time of adoption of this chapter, the fee shall be set at $50; provided, however, that subsequent to the adoption of this chapter the fee shall be as set out in the fee schedule adopted by the City Council during the budget process and amended from time to time. The registration shall be valid for one year. If an individual engages in any construction or rehabilitation project without registration, the fee shall double. The determination of a fee exempt entity must be made by the City Attorney upon written notice to the City Secretary. If an applicant is engaged in an activity within the city right-of-way, the applicant shall provide a surety performance bond in the amount of $250,000 and maintain adequate “all risk” insurance indemnifying the city against any and all liabilities and obtain a permit from the Director of Public Works prior to the start of the project.
