505.11 HUNTING PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill any animal or fowl within the corporate limits of the Municipality by any means other than the lawful use of a firearm as defined in R.C. 2923.11 and in compliance with all relevant provisions of state and federal law.
   (b)   Any person who violates this section shall be fined not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) but no more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and may be imprisoned for no more than three days for a first offense, and shall be imprisoned for no less than three days, but not more than ten days for any repeat offenses.
   (c)   If the Chief of Police determines that an animal or animals are detrimental to the safety and welfare of our citizens and there is no other means of controlling them, the Mayor may grant permission for bow hunting. A permit for bow hunting must be obtained from the Heath City Offices and will be restricted as to area and time. (Ord. 59-2019. Passed 1-6-2020.)
