SECTION 12.01. WHEN CIVIL SERVICE BECOMES EFFECTIVE.

Upon the change of status of the Municipality from a village to a city as provided by the Constitution and laws of the State of Ohio, this article providing for civil service shall become effective; and the Civil Service Commission hereinafter provided shall be appointed within sixty (60) days after the receipt of the proclamation that the Municipality is a City.
